Student letting specialist – Quay Property Management – annually attend the SMU accommodation fair which takes place during August each year. This year they asked Direction to design and produce display material and literature for the event.

The Porthcawl maritime centre is becoming more of a reality with a public consultation exhibition taking place and a feasibility study commissioned. A more detailed brief for the scheme's branding was developed and Direction Design produced a range of ideas to fit the brief for the building to be known as 'Harbourside'. The chosen design concept was developed further to produce the final logo which is being used on exhibition and presentation material and even on a proposed, back-lit stained glass window for the north-side of the new building.

Local hairdressing salon - The Grahams Hair Company - commissioned Direction Design to re-design their identity. The new logo will be used on all literature, appointment cards, displays and salon windows.


A Maritime Centre is being planned for Porthcawl and the architect has asked Direction Design to suggest initial branding ideas for use during the development and initial planning process. The logo chosen is based on the lighthouse, an easily recognised local landmark. Though this logo is unlikely to be used as the identity for final development it has proved a useful tool through the initial stages.
